Person with van needed.... [Jul. 6th, 2010|03:34 pm]
Mark Rimmell
Anyone know a reliable person with a van to pick-up a sofa bed from Newbury, Berkshire and drop off in Twickenham next Monday?
I can either meet them at the pick-up to help load or they can pick me up on the way. Both pick-up and delivery ground floor.

Approx: 57 miles.

I need an idea of cost by Thursday morning.

This is only a possibility at the moment, will know for sure Thursday night. But once booked for Monday, it must be Monday.

Your mate Guy has a nice ex-BT Transit, does he not?

I don't think he loves me enough ;-)

Besides I think he's rather busy right now and what I've seen of the back of his van you wouldn't get a folded deckchair in there let alone a sofa.

Get yerself a utility vehicle and then you'll be able to do all your own removals...

Here's a nice one.

Here's an even nicer one (ex-military, first year of production - that's 20 extra kewl points right there!)

I want an Amazon... but not at £6000.
I don't think that will sell at that price.

...and you wouldn't get a 215cm long sofa in either the Land Rover or the Amazon.

You would certainly fit a 215cm sofa in a long wheelbase Land Rover. That was why I suggested that model, rather than the swb version.

As it happens, you could put a sofa of any length in a swb Land Rover if you stood it up on end. The sky's the limit!

You could probably fit it in an Amazon estate, too. Drop the tailgate down and hey presto! An extended load platform, ready to use. Clever chaps, those Volvo designers.
