"A contemporary twist to a traditional style" is a phrase that gets my hackles up. You just know they are about to justify some shitty new addition to a building with words like; juxtaposition, tension, between, old, and new.|
No, it's just another crappy box that looks, at best, like the gift shop tacked on the side of a National Trust property. I swear that in some of the add-ons I see, on TV programmes like Grand Designs, I fully expect to see pots of jam and tea-towels on sale.
