Welcome Distractions [Dec. 30th, 2014|01:04 am]
Mark Rimmell
Christmas seems like a dim a distant memory. But it ain't over until New Years Eve is out of the way. I've long since given up going out on NYE, or "Amateur Drinking Night" as we call it.

Saturday night was fun Bruce the builder popped round, good to see him and he brought his dog along too. Good to have a dog in the house again, for a while at least.

Also there for Saturday night shenanigans were Christine and Jem.

Fast forward to Monday and Ian arrived at lunchtime, so he and I wondered down to The Just Reproach for a few beers.

I picked-up 8 1930's volumes of H. G. Wells from the Oxfam bookshop.

I'm still very down about the loss of Amber. Keep expecting to find her waiting for me when I get home. Keep thinking I see her out of the corner of my eye when walking into a room.

I think I want the new year to start now. That way I can try and get into some sort of routine.
