Last night's talk.

I was lapsing into an altered state due to lack of sleep...

However part one of four lectures on the life, influences, work and influence of H.P. Lovecraft by Dr. Justin Woodman was rather good. It was a full house at Treadwells, seems there's quite a hardcore of Lovecraftians in London these days. I have, in the past, suffered through some interminable nonsense being spouted by the lunatic fringe of the Lovecraft world. But tonight was a refreshing change from the "it's all true I tell you" of those with only one toe in the waters of reality. Given Justin's credentials I had no reason to fear another trip into Crazyville and wasn't disappointed.

One of the things I like about these Treadwells lectures is the opportunity to mull over the talk with members of the multifarious group that has been drawn to this remarkable shop. However tonight I gave in to the jet lag and staggered off home (no it wasn't the wine for once I didn't drink as my senses were addled enough).

Christina tells me there are a few spaces available for the next few talks in the series but book NOW!

Justin was recording last night's talk and plans to make it available on-line in the near future. When I have the location of the recording I will post a link.
