I don't believe it!
New phone turns up after weeks of me calling and asking "where's my phone", waited in today for the forth day and... It's the wrong phone.
In all the conversations I've had with o2 I said "Nokia N95 8GB"... I even remember saying on several occasions "that is the new one the N95 8gb?".
What they've sent is an N95 with a sticker on the box stating "8gb memory card included". And as any 14 year old chav at the back of the bus can tell you "a N95 wif a 8gb card stuck init, isn't the same as a 'N95 8gb'... init".
Yes there's the little matter of battery life being improved, larger screen size, enhanced memory management, they've removed a whole load of pants stuff from the OS too... I could go on about how much better the N95 8gb is... That's why I want one!
So I called o2... At first o2 actually said "only Vodafone were doing the N95 8gb" , which surprised me, firstly because I happen to have heard o2 had ordered 1000s of N95 8gb handsets, and secondly you never tell a pissed off customer he can get what he wants from your competitor. Well it seems I was correct and o2 will be getting the N95 8gb after Christmas... So up shot is I am sending this back and waiting a month... Why during the dozen or so calls I made to o2 didn't someone say... "oh this isn't really the N95 8gb"? I am willing to guess this was because they were told not to.
It's the waisted time that really annoys me 4 days waiting in!
But I do feel better now.
Off to the post office to send it back now.
Don't bother to read this... Reading this back to myself I sound like a spoilt child kicking off on Christmas morning because the new toy isn't quite the right one.
