So... Other than the step ladder, how is this different to how your kitchen normally looks?
Are you up for beers sometime soon?
That photo was taken at the "I wish I hadn't started this" stage. Everything out of the cupboards, everything date checked, anything over a year out of date chucked ;-), cupboards scrubbed, walls and worktop scrubbed.
Still have the cupboard under the sink to do. But that's a bit frightening under there. Who knows what evil lurks there?
Wentto a reclaimation yard on saturday and kept finding things you'd love...not really a useful comment, I imagine, but was itching to buy you the entire telephone exchange with manuals that they had.
...but yes, had enough of lying in the dark staring at the ceiling listening to all the unconstrutive thoughts going roundmy head.
Oooo! Where's this reclamation yard? Probably haven't got room for a whole telephone exchange but would love to see it. Also wondering what other goodies they may have.
I'm all done with unconstructive thoughts (at least trying to be done with 'em)... Diving into the big clear-out, clean-up. I'm probably doing a life laundry on boil-wash.
Reclaimation yard just outside St Austell. Loads of tasty stuff that I couldn't afford or was just too big for my little place. They had a seven foot carved dragon that I just loved, but it a) cost a grand b) who use every square inch of space I have...damn!
I want to go back after Feb's pay packet and pick up some brackets and rusty old keys type stuff...redecorating the bathroom and would like some fancy shelf brackets...
Glad that Cornwall is shelved, for personal selfish reasons (ie I love you and would miss you terribly). I will be wonderful to have you round more, and I look forward to seeing you at lots of upcoming events in the next couple of months. Thanks to you both for the lovely visit the other day, and I look forward to hanging out with you more in 2008. XX and Happy New Year, C.
This has to be one of the best and most welcome replies I've ever had to a post :-)
Must do coffee soon... if you ever get a day off? If not I'll drop in early at the shop and bring coffee and cake.
Looking forward to the next few months. Certainly going to be interesting.
I'm not glad the Cornwall plans are shelved for exactly the same reasons as given above...
Well... I will be down in Cornwall again soon, because there's a Reclaimation yard just outside St Austell I want to visit. If you fancy tea and cake let me know?
there's another one closer to Penzance that my sis and I are going to check out soonn as well - that one is supposed to be even better than the St Austell one - but as St Astell had the telephone exchange and a wooden tardis and a floral roll top bath that would have to make this as yet unseen place pretty spectacular.
As ever you are more than welcome to the spare room - which should be being renovated into something mcuh more pleasant to stay in in a few weeks time. Tea and cake sound splendid.
i would echo this sentiment entirely ;¬) - and mark -i still work down the road from you does the invite for coffee extend to me too?!
Me too, I must come down more often x
Yes come for tea/coffee... there's cake too sometimes.
Yes... Most certainly. In fact I was just passing your office and though "I must plan ahead and see if Ruthy is up for a spot of lunch next time I'm going this way"... failing that slip round after work.
lunch is awkward because i never quite know when its gonna be - and its only 1 hr - but up for coming over after work one day - though it being the new year i am busy getting back into the gym - and going back to WW on thurs - weds are good though...
Fancy popping round tomorrow then? You can marvel at the clean and tidy kitchen and recoil in horror at the rest of the flat ;-)
yeah o.k - although it maybe a real fleeting visit as i want to get to the gym about 7:15 - next week i'm finishing work at 4pm - is that any good for you?
yeah I can be around then too.
next thurs will be a bit better - but i'm going to WW in molesey at 7pm - but a few hours will be good - and just think how the kitchen could look by then!!!!
Please send me the Blitz bug - I need me some of that x
OK... I've taken a small slither off it and will grow you your very own Blitz Bug in a petri dish.
