I calmed myself down with a large black coffee...
Ari has been working all hours so haven't seen much of her. I'm about ready for bed by the time she gets home. Feeling bad because every morning I find her crashed out on the sofa while I have the best room in the house. She says she's OK on the sofa but I can't lay on it and watch a film without ending up in agony with back pain. Trying to repay her by making myself useful around the house... but as she's moved since my last visit I don't know where stuff goes, so even doing the washing-up for her is a possible annoyance rather than a help. I have a sneaking suspicion she's having to do the laundry I did again because I cocked up in some way.
In other news. I am reconstructing a 1890s map of London from about 80 scans of the original. Unfortunately the scans don't line up properly and it is taking a lot of jiggling around in photoshop to get each strip to match up to its neighbours. Even then it may fit at the top and bottom but it will drift out of register in the middle. Also there are gaps due to wear along fold lines. So it's becoming a case of get as good a fit as possible then photoshop the gaps or out of register areas. This is going to be a long project and the only thing that's keeping me going is the thought of how good it will look framed on my living room wall with glass headed pins showing Sherlock Holmes investigated crimes in the capital. I'm sure there's an underlining pattern to the crimes. I suspect if you link all the dots it will spell "Moriarty Rules".
Just got back from a walking the dog... People here a quite happy to wave to complete strangers with a friendly "Hello" I even got one "Howdy"... I realised about the 3rd time I waved back I was waving with a bag of dog poop at them. This worried me, it seems a little rude of me and I am getting a distinct feeling of Déjà vu.
