Woke up at 6:30am... Pottered about for half an hour then went swimming. Why can't I keep count of my lengths? I did at least 30, probably more then decided coffee was needed.

I found a marble on the bottom of the pool at the deep end I guess some kids had been diving for it. Reminded me of the game a friend and I played when we were kids. Racing toy cars down the slope of the pool at Staines, until the lifeguard worked out why we were spending so long sitting at the bottom of the pool. It was a cool game though. The slope was just the right angle to allow a nice race and the water provided enough drag to stop the race being over too quickly. We soon worked out hydrodynamics were a lot like aerodynamics, so the sleek sports models had the edge over the trucks. We could hold our breaths just long enough to set the cars off, follow them to the deep end then recover them, breaking surface gasping for air and shouting "Beat you again!" or "You cheated, you let go too early".

Right stuff to do...

Um maybe time one lap and then you can kind of work it out?
I do about 1 lap a minute so my 20 mins does about 20 laps swimming around and trying not to be drowned by kids on the way.
Aww fantastic ;o) that was a cool game to play

What I do is drop 20 marbles in at the deep end, and every time I swim a length I retrieve one and tuck it in my cozzy pocket.

The above is a complete lie.. but if I had been in the pool just before you it could explain why you found a marble.

Yours helpfully
