Big day today... On a little pub crawl with geodhinn and ian_wyrdness this is to wet Luis Ewan's (who must have an LJ by now) head and to check out the Fancy A Pint London award winning pubs. This little jaunt will take me on the DLR for the first time.

In other news...
I should be picking up my car tomorrow. Most pleased because you can not get very much in the back of the Nissan Micra I have as a loaner.

I really would like to have the bedroom cleared before the end of the month but at this rate it'll be more like September before I am ready to start building in there. Will have any money to buy wood and other materials? Car will sap quite a few quid, the tax man wants a cheque from me, service charge on the flat is due, and I need to see my accountant...

I'm off to Cornwall on Wednesday via family and friends in Devon. Could be the last trip I make before being priced off the road ;-)

Monday and Tuesday will be very busy.

'twas a good pub crawl. It's a pity that the last pub was full of office workers, but I guess that's the penalty of getting there after 7pm.

On the plus side, we had plenty of very good beer and the Dog & Bell had the best chips that I've tasted for years.

geodhinn was very crafty arranging for Maggie to stay the night here, so that he went home drunk to no women and I came home drunk to two. Although I hear that he did get a good telling off by phone!
