Hopes built up only to be cruelly dashed to the ground again. [Nov. 13th, 2008|12:35 pm]

For one joyous moment I thought my local café was offering "Breakfast in Bed" on closer inspection of the blackboard I was disappointed to find it actually read "Breakfast in a bun!".

Pity because it is a service I would of certainly subscribed to.

but the people in your local cafe are not very sexy which always makes a difference to the taste of breakfast in bed

But think of the value of the exercise, having to go for the breakfast takes away the calories. Anyway its thursday today and everybody knows thursdays are calorie free whatever you eat! (Burp! She says having ganneted a whole pack of stuffed goats chees pasta with walnut oil and parmesan cheese)
Besides which, it was 14.00 hours last Saturday when you got up, would it have been worth getting up if I had brought you breakfast in bed? By the time I would have finished the washing up you would have been snoozing again
Who's turn is it to make the morning cuppa?

I've written you a small poem about breakfast in bed.

The sausages are snoring
snuggled next to scrambled egg
Roll over tomatoes
complained the fried bread
all this was oblivious
to the dreaming baked beans

I don't hold with breakfast in a bun. I find the milk in the muesli makes the bread go all soggy.
