Rant of the day

My oven has been out of action since Saturday. Today the new element arrived, or I should say, I picked it up from the Post Office because I was out yesterday when it was trying to be delivered. Where was I when it was trying to be delivered? At the Post Office picking up a parcel that had tried to be delivered the previous day. Now why would I chose to pick-up a parcel at a time I know deliveries of other parcels are being made and risk this whole ridiculous chain of events from happening again and again? Because for some unknown reason someone in Royal Mail management thinks that the service desk opening hours are best matched to the times the times of the delivery rounds. It used to be open 7:30 am - 7:30 pm which was deemed far to convenient and the opening times were reduced to 8:30am - 12:30 pm. Which means, if you are working, the chances are the only day you can pick up your post that is too big to fit through t the letter box, has to be signed for, has a charge to be paid... is Saturday. I've tried to pick up post on a Saturday a couple of times and took one look at the length of the queue and went back on Monday.

In other news I still feel like crap but the above moan has helped.
