It's been theorised that there are only Six degrees of separation between every human on the planet. In the world of goth I would guess it's down to about 4 degrees of separation, unless you knew Dave Morrison in which case it has to be 2 degrees. Dave knew everyone on the scene.

It's going to be strange going to gigs and him not being there. I met him outside a Nephilim gig at the Marquee more years ago than I care to think about. He always seemed to be surrounded by beautiful women. And last time I saw him was no different, yeah there's Dave pint of cider in hand and surrounded by beautiful women. Just look at his facebook photos.

I'd pop in and see him at his place and he'd have a cup of coffee in my had no sooner than I'd walked in the door. Last time I was over at his place I fixed his washing machine for him, he was grateful but also a little disappointed the washing machine was so easily fixed because he'd seen a black washing machine. We joked that such a machine would be bound get your black clothes really, really black.

His struggle with neurofibroma and the depression it caused was a side to Dave not everyone saw. It's a struggle he finally lost this week.

I am saddened by this news. Believe it or not many moons ago I spoke to him through LJ, only a little, because my best bud also has neurofibroma.
I am truly sorry for your loss mate.

Yes he remembered that day and if you ever came up in conversation he'd tell me, rather proudly, that he met you.
