London Mayor, Boris Johnson, has ordered Transport for London to restore the River Thames. TfL pointed out that the London Mayor doesn't have the power to force them to do anything they don't want to, before saying they would put the river back anyway.
A TfL spokes person explained that "... Boris calmed down quite a bit once he realised we had only taken the river off the map and not actually drained the real river and filled it in."
Not wanting to be left of of the controversy, Ken Livingstone stated that "...it makes a shambles of a game of Mornington Crescent. The old Westminster to Greenwich move using River Bus rules is out of the question until TfL come to their senses".
