Thursday Night.

Took me a while but I got my act together sufficiently to enable trip to London for Mark Pointer 's talk on Lilith. This was allegedly being held upstairs at The George in the Strand. Hadn't been in The George since gawd knows when. Sorry to see it's now got two televisions. After my first pint I'm told the talk is not on here tonight but a little further down the alley, which turns out to be a blessing, better beer and NO TELEVISIONS! However there is another snag... Mark Pointer has disappeared of the planet. So Steve starts an impromptu talk on the vampire in literature, only to be interrupted by the late arrival of the guest speaker... who arrives in much the same style as The Great Prophet Zarquon .

Mark apologised for being late, family problems... and with a sip from a large glass of wine, launches into his talk, and very good it was too.

Also finally got to meet m31andy who I am now indebted to, the sum of one pint... Come to think of it I owe Dave the weapons dealer a beer too.

Got home... Tried talking to Ari on netmeeting. No chance. Not working. Ari phones and we talk all too briefly. Then I head of to bed.

Worked on Unx's PC WHY WON'T the Scanner software install? Grrrrrrr..... and stuff like that. It all seems to be working now. Just hope he can cope with the trimmed down scanner software.

Also put two coats of varnish on the table top. Looking good.

Going to upload this to LJ, then see if Ari's around to try Netmeeting.
