I had it all worked out. First I have to just trim a little off the top, and a corresponding amount off the threads, of the drive shafts... Did the first one OK, then on the second one I jammed the lathe and bent the shaft I was working on. I knew I was pushing it with the cutting tools I was using (same old story cheap tools frack-up the job). Just thrown £40 at the problem. Now I have to sit back and wait for new tools to arrive...Yeah right! If only I had the luxury of sitting back and just waiting... loads of other things I can get on with.

Best laid plans and all that. Just tried the polo in the garage, can't get out the passenger side but can the drivers with a squeeeeeze. Back to the drawing board for me too!

How about doing that extend the folly idea and moving some of the garage cupboards in there. That wall needs sorting out anyway and it's only going to be a hell of a lot more work to put up 3 walls and a roof.
