|But seriously folks....

I've said some of this elsewhere... but I think it's worth saying again.
If you value the BBC and 6 Music in particular write a hard-copy old fashioned snailmail too. CC an email as well. But real letters are worth more. Never underestimate the psychological effect of mailbags blocking the entrance and corridors. When the BBC Trust post-room tells management they need more staff you know you're winning.
180 Great Portland Street
Years ago a politician told my mother that 10,000 letters in your inbox are harder to ignore than a 100,000 people marching past your building.
Every letter the BBC get during this consultation period is going to be ammunition in a battle which is yet to come.
It could really benefit the BBC if after the election they can say "Look at the response people kicked up when we proposed cuts back in March". Maybe that's the tactic behind this bizarre 'Don't kill the BBC, it's already bleeding to death from self inflicted wounds' stance. Whatever the thinking, fighting now will make the defence against more the hostile forces of a Conservative government easier in future.
Feel free to cut & paste this , put it in your own words, put it to music, rant it on youtube, choreograph it as a ballet... But first write a letter on paper.
