Very briefly, for reasons that will become apparent

Ari arrived just over two weeks ago. We had fun getting to know each other.

Hot day at the Zoo (I want to come back as an otter).

Went to British museum.

Ari and I papered my hall and very good it looks too. If I'd of tried to do it on my own I doubt if I'd of finished it.

Saw "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban". Excellent! Gary Oldman and Alan Rickman squaring up to each other as Sirius and Severus... WOW!

Also we went to see Troy. Hmmm.... Well it look good (apart from the horse which looked pretty crap really and I'd of burnt it on the beach as a Greek insult) also I don't remember the story being quite like the film... but hey ho, that's Hollywood for you.

Went over to see piercedandproud and bird_mad_girl. A pleasant evening with drinks and very large spiders.

We had a very non football Sunday the night it seems England were playing. We met up with Ian, Gemma and Bunny P for a lunch time Chinese. Then moved on to see the Troy exhibits at the British Museum, before moving on to the Museum Tavern where we were joined by Paul, Alan, Uncle Nemesis and very briefly Geoff. Very relieved to see a total lack of televisions in the pub even on an international kickabout night. Television in Pubs is bad enough but football on television in pubs is a good drink ruined. We moved on to have a small curry around the corner then waked south our little party drifting off at various intervals into the night.

Big shock on Wednesday. I went over early to see my parent's, found dad in state of shock and mum collapsed on the floor. Long story cut short... Mum now in hospital, dad being taken care of in care home. Me trying to sort out all sorts of stuff this week. Need to take dad to his doctor tomorrow, visit mum, do loads of legal crap, while looking after parents' house and Moses their cat. Main aim is to get mum and dad both home ASAP... it may not work out that way :-(

Ari flew back to the US this morning and I'm missing her. I think I can get by but only by tackling one thing at a time and resting in between. Don't be surprised if you don't hear from me for a while. I'm already running on empty, not even going to try and explain how I'm feeling right now, apart from getting a great deal of strength from the support I'm getting from friends and family. Special thanks to Ari for being wonderful and helping out BIG TIME in the last few days.</a>
