Back from London. [Jan. 25th, 2012|11:53 pm]

Spent the last few days in and around London. Stayed at pinkwitch2000's (Thank you PW, really good to see you).

I was in town to do some redubbing on the film (problems with some of the sound in one scene). It was actually quite hard concentrating on getting the timing just right to keep lip sync, and at the same time change emphasis on certain words while at the same time trying to improve the performance. The engineer was really good and patient, by the end of the session I was getting nearly every section in one take. However I did lose the ability to say the word "sponge" at one point.

Whilst in town I took the opportunity to meet up with friends at The Bree Louise (best selection of beer in London outside of a beer fest). Most impressed with Itchen Valley Russian Winter, an Imperial Stout. One of the best I've ever had.

This morning I popped into my storage unit to pick-up some cleaning stuff and a few kitchen odds and ends, on the off chance I may need them in the next week or so. Then drove back to Kent. Picked-up some post. Pleased to find TV licencing will be refunding me seventy something quid.

Drink in the Bree Louise while you can. It won't be there soon!

"Soon"? Yeah right. Even if the pub building went hopefully the landlord would be able to move to another pub and continue with this seemingly singular idea of a pub being about the beer.

It sounds as if they've already got another pub -The Duchess of Cambridge on Goldhawk Road (http://www.thebreelouise.com/)

Typical! I move away from West London and we get a decent pub at last. Still I've found the St. Peters Hotel up the road.
