.... time crawls like an insect up and down the walls ... [Feb. 24th, 2012|10:02 am]

[mood |bouncybouncy]

I am ill again, another cold gone to my chest, after an all too brief spell of feeling normal. But apart from that I'm feeling fairly bouncy. Off to the solicitor today, nothing to do with the move just want to sort out a few loose ends of my life that really should have been sorted years ago, but where just too boring to contemplate.

Anyway the main thing on the mind of Rimmell is... "Is it Monday yet?" I was never one to wish a weekend away to get to Monday quicker, but...

I went round the house on Wednesday measure up a couple of things I'd forgotten to check. The lady who I'm buying off was surrounded by packing chaos (she has my sympathy, I've been there, done that), but luckily she was also surrounded by friends who where helping.

Still can't quite get my head around the idea it's going to be mine by Monday evening. It still seems like a long way off. But the weekend should go fairly quickly. I have a friend driving all the way from Cornwall to help with the move. I'm putting him up in a hotel on the seafront Sunday so I predict a couple of beers Sunday evening.

I have stuff stashed in two location in Kent so will be fairly busy Monday collecting it all. I'll deal with the storage unit stuff next month.

So briefly the plan is. Pick up van at 9:30am, drive to location #1, load van, drive to house, by which time it should be midday and the keys will be released. Then unload van, drive to location #2 and pick up more stuff.

If we don't end up sitting on boxes while eating chips out of the paper at some point, I'll be disappointed. I mean it's traditional when moving in.

best of luck with the move and hope you feel better. I guess being ill is part of the stress with the house purchase. I know it did me

Thank you, and yes I think you're probably correct. I'm pretty sure I'm never moving again. Here I stay!
