After dropping off "Me Ma" (as the good lady is known) Jo and I headed over to Hythe to wander around the charity shops and antique stalls. Dodging rain storms between shops. As Eric Draven once said "Can't rain all the time." but it's having a jolly good try.
Collected the secondhand, very knocked about cement mixer. Left the stand pin behind "D'OH!". Will try and pick that up on Monday, if they haven't chucked it.
Came home, unloaded cement mixer with help from Jem, went for a few pints, over the road, crashed out. Woke-up from nightmare a couple of hours ago and I'm not keen to go back to sleep following that little doozie.
Tomorrow the elusive fireplace man is coming round to measure up. I was somewhat surprised to hear from him and had all but given-up on ever hearing from him again.
And that reminds me, I'm waiting to hear back from my solicitor about money that was held back on the sale of my flat last year. I'm getting a tad fed-up with chasing that up. 7 months!
