Last min decision to go camping. [Aug. 13th, 2013|02:14 pm]

Drove up to Cambridgeshire on Friday morning. Car packed with lodger, dog, tents, bedding, food, and beer. Lots of beer. This was really a last min decision to go to Wadfest. Pleased we went had rather a good time. Usually stay extra days at Wadfest, however this isn't possible at the new site. So we were only away for two nights. I think I rather over did it on the Friday night. Things became a little vague later in the evening.

I knew I forgot to pack something.

Got home on Sunday to find the washing machine had decided to stop spinning. Arse! Just what you don't want when you get back from a camping trip.

Monday I fitted the new bathroom radiator. Twelve holes for mounting to wall and floor, and two 15mm holes through the wall for the pipes.

Today I've been varnishing the dado in the bedroom, making a temporary lock for the bathroom door (we have guests arriving soon), cut the grass (or more like kicked up a load of dust). Next off to a friend's place to borrow his washing machine.

In real life, I note the usual business practice of being Mr Hurry-Up on the phone, means as soon as he's hung up he forgets to do his next part of the job. So I've lost a week because Mr Hurry-Up couldn't send an email. Hopeless!
