The Route of My Router [Oct. 24th, 2013|05:38 pm]

Plotting the route my new router is taking to get to me.

I gave-up trying to find a suitable European router to use as a swappable power and tool-holding in some machines I'm building. For some weird reason only American routers are round. Routers for the European always seem to be odd shapes that don't easily lend themselves to mounting in other situations.

Plans available from http://woodgears.ca

The reason I'm building this? I have many yards of moulding to machine and this will probably be the cheapest and most versatile way of doing it. The cost of ready machined pine over ripping and machining a length of 2"x1" is something around 10 times as expensive. It will also make a very useful addition to the workshop for other projects.

In other news...
Went to see my solicitor this afternoon. Boring house stuff. But useful chat and off the meter too.

Waiting to hear back from builder about work on house.

Waiting to hear back from gas fitter about a rough price for boiler fitting.

Right now suffering from back pain. Woke-up this morning with stabbing pain in back, only a pulled a muscle. But it hurts big time. Not what I need when I could be committing myself to 3 months of hard work with a deadline.

That would be just the ticket. Thank you.
